I'm getting a little tired of reading my old, whiney comments from time to time, but I suppose this picture does tell an important story in my life. A story I shouldn't just erase.
I'm glad to say that I've grown up a lot over the past years, after dealing with things as described in the original description.
I had a really big price to pay to be who I am today, altough I did get a lot in return for it.
Suffice to say, I miss having a girlfriend. Someone to love and be loved by. Of course I never really 'got' love and now I have God teaching me a thing or two about it. It's enough to last a life time (and beyond), but in addition I would like to be able to share love with a young woman again.
Someday, when the time is right.
End EDIT 2009
===
You may find this one looking familliar. And yes I have posted it before. But things have changed alot since that time. Maybe you remember my old love situation. It wasn't very pleasant...I didn't know the difference between a crush and love and I let that ruin my life...
I give you the old description, after that I give you my new thoughts, cause I now know...please read the following:
Old Description
I let it happen before..."falling in love" with someone I can't be with... This picture symbolizes that very thing...the pole could be seen as a person...reaching out so desperatly...but it's no use..the sun (symbol for the other person) is too far away...not only that but the water (symbol for distance) makes sure their love cannot be...along with the current (symbol for unreturned feelings) making sure one never reaches the other
Some claim I don't know what love is...I agree now...

This song seems to fit the situation well:
Tears From The Moon-- Conjure One
Couldn't sleep so I went out walking Thinking about you and hearing us talking And all the things I should have said Echo now, inside my head
I feel something falling from the sky I'm so sad I made the angels cry
Tears from the moon Fall down like rain I reach for you I reach in vain
Tears from the moon, tears from the moon
It just ain't fair this thing called loving When one step there and the other feels nothing I would have done anything for you I still love you, baby I adore you
All day I keep from falling apart But at night when the sky gets dark
Tears from the moon Fall down like rain I reach for you I reach in vain
Stop, Stop haunting me It should be easy As easy as when you stopped wanting me
Tears from the moon Fall down like rain I reach for you I reach in vain
Tears from the moon Fall down like rain but tears from the moon can't wash away the pain
Tears from the moon, tears from the moon Tears from the moon, tears from the moon
New description
I let my life fall to pieces. But when I stopped looking for love, love found me. In the form of my dearest friend Daphne, my very first watcher right here on DA. Yes, she too was far away from me. But one could not ignore these feelings.
I broke those chains, and got over myself. On the 23th of December 2005, I stepped on that airplane, and crossed that ocean...the very water that once kept me from being where I should be.
We met, we clicked, we were meant for eachother. Love was there, love is still there.
I now know what love is...the price was high but it was very much worth it...
This one is for you Daphne, I love you so much.

And these lyrics are from a song we share.
Ocean Lab -- Satellite
My love is like first steps in this snow, baby, I follow you everywhere you go, baby. The pain as light has come to wake you But you will never realize That I inspire the dreams that guide you baby.
I follow the winds that bring the cold, baby, I light a fire in your soul, baby. The lightest touch of feathers falling My love might be invisible But I inspire the dreams that guide you, baby
You're a half a world away But in my mind I whisper every single word you say. And before you sleep at night You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite.
Your singing satellite
You say a prayer You say a prayer
You're a half a world away But in my mind I whisper every single word you say. And before you sleep at night You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite.
You're a half a world away But in my mind I whisper every single word you say. And before you sleep at night You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
